The Institute for Biomedical Engineering (IBMT) is part of Rostock University, the oldest university of the Baltic region, founded in 1419. Located in Warnemünde, the institute has a long-standing research tradition in the fields of biomaterials and implant technology. As a bridging institute between the University Medical Center Rostock, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the IBMT has a particularly interdiciplinary character. It is the environment for interdisciplinary biomedical teamwork together with partners in science and industry.
