The Institute for Biomedical Engineering is located at the University of Rostock, the oldest university of the Baltic region, founded in 1419. The Institute for Biomedical Engineering has a long-standing research tradition in the fields of artificial organs and biomaterials in Rostock. As a bridging institute between the University Medical Center Rostock, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Institute has a particularly interdiciplinary character. It represents the basis for interdisciplinary biomedical teamwork together with other facilities of the University of Rostock.


RESPONSE

The RESPONSE research consortium is one of ten excellent research consortia, which are supported by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) until 2020 with a total program funding of 500 million Euro.

GLP-Laboratory
